Errichetto and Harrison Take HV3 Foundation Junior All-Star Titles

Maria Isabella Errichetto of Southern Pines, NC, and Talan Harrison of Kannapolis, NC, each won their respective divisions in the American Junior Golf Association’s (AJGA) 3rd HV3 Foundation Junior All-Star conducted on the Championship course at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC, on June 28-30, 2022.

Errichetto, a rising eighth-grader, earned her first AGJA tournament victory, finishing at one-under-par 209. Errichetto secured her one-stroke victory with a final round of two-under-par 68, including a critical birdie on hole 15. “It feels very good. I worked very hard for this. It’s definitely an accomplishment,” stated Errichetto. Annie Weng of San Juan Capistrano, CA, carded 12 birdies in the tournament and finished as the runner-up one shot back at even-par 210.

Rising high school sophomore Harrison won his first AJGA victory finishing the tournament at ten-under-par 200 on the par 70 course. Harrison’s final five-under 65 was the day’s low round. “I got off to a slow start and couldn’t really get anything going, but I picked it up on No. 6 and 7 and had back-to-back birdies. Then I had another great back nine, and I just kept it together and made a lot of putts today, same as yesterday,” Harrison said of his final round. Zhengqian Li of Melbourne, Australia, was the runner-up six shots behind Harrison at four-under-par 206.

The field of 78 players (24 girls and 54 boys) included five past AJGA champions and represented 18 states and two countries. The 54-hole stroke play tournament is in its third year, with the proceeds benefiting the HV3 Foundation.
