HV3 Athlete Chase McLaughlin and HV3 Mentee Marcus Freeman Competing in the PGA Tour Champions PURE Insurance Championship

The HV3 Foundation is set to make a strong presence in the upcoming PGA TOUR Champions PURE Insurance Championship. HV3 Athlete Chase McLaughlin and HV3 Mentee Marcus Freeman will be competing in the tournament, which will take place in Monterey, California, from September 22-24, 2023.

It is worth noting that the HV3 Foundation has a rich history in this championship. In 2007, HV3 Foundation founder and president Harold Varner III, then a 17-year-old high school senior, teamed up with Morris Hatalsky to secure victory in the junior-am division. Varner showcased his early golf skills by birdieing four of the last six holes at Pebble Beach, ultimately claiming the title.

Chase McLaughlin, a high school senior from Kernersville, NC, will be representing the First Tee Central Carolina.  Marcus Freeman, a high school senior from Charlotte, NC, will represent the First Tee Greater Charlotte in the tournament.  Their participation in this prestigious event further highlights the commitment and dedication of the HV3 Foundation to nurturing young talent and promoting youth sports.

The PURE Insurance Championship is an official PGA TOUR Champions event that brings together professional golfers and junior amateur players for a unique and impactful tournament. It provides life-changing mentoring opportunities for young individuals through its partnership with the First Tee organization.

Help support relief efforts to western North Carolina and provide affordable rounds of golf through youth on course.
